Here is a real MONEY SAVING TIP that can SAVE YOU
A LOT OF MONEY on Brother Printer Toner & Ink
Cartridges.
This works very well........ we do it ourselves! You wouldn't
expect a printer cartridge supplier to be giving these tips, but
if we can save you some money... why not!
With many Brother toner and ink printer cartridges, when the
printer notifies you that it has run out of toner or ink, there
is often a lot (15% to 20%) still left.

Looking at the right hand side of the printer cartridge as you
stand in front of the printer (or the non-gear side), you will
see a clear plastic circle with a hole in the middle. |

Simply place a small piece of black electrical tape over that
hole (or colour it with a black marker pen) and the cartridge
will be good for another 500 to 1000 pages. |

If you do incur any problems getting this to work
for your printer cartridges, try the following link
for additional suggestions.
Basically, the printer reads the toner levels through that hole
and you are suggesting that there is plenty more toner in the
cartridge.
Remember that when the print next starts to fade (after using
the tip) to change the cartridge quickly to avoid any damage
to the drum. The ink cartridges operate on a similar principle,
in this case you can colour the side / front of the cartridge
with black marker pen and away you go.
We always recommend having a spare set of cartridges, however,
this tip can get you out of trouble on a Sunday night with
homework due on Monday; and save you money!
